ARCADIA YOUTH RODEO ASSOCIATION

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce to you the new ARCADA YOUTH RODEO ASSOCIATION.  We are most anxious to offer this opportunity for our youth to participate in America’s #1 sport. In our society today, we feel it is very crucial to guide our young people in a positive direction. The Arcadia Youth Rodeo Association is dedicated to helping its youth set goals and work to achieve them through a sport they truly enjoy…. RODEO.

There are eleven approved events of the Arcadia Youth Rodeo Association.

1.      All events will be open to kid’s ages 17 years old and under... The rough stock event will be open to boys & girls.

2.      Mutton busting ages 6 and under or 60lbs or less.  Calf riding ages 8 & under. Steer riding ages 9-12. Junior Bull Riding 13-14.  Senior Bulls 15 -17yrs.  If you are a junior and wish to ride senior bulls you may do so with the approval of your parents, stock contractor, arena director, once you move up you cannot move back down.

3.       Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Goat Tying, Breakaway Roping, Tie Down Roping & Dally Team Roping ages: Tots 8 and under, juniors 9-13 yrs, seniors 14-17 yrs.  

4.      Fees are $20.00 - $5.00 will be put in a jackpot per event.          

All contestants are required to call-in to enter

 Monday & Tuesday before each rodeo

The fiscal year of the AYRA runs from Mar 1st to Nov 30th^{, 2008}        

All contestant members and non-contestant members will be required to fill out an application. Contestant members will be required to fill out release agreement form and release of liability in order to join the association and must pay the Arcadia Youth Rodeo Association membership fee of TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS ($25.00) per contestant not to exceed $50.00. Non-member contestant fee will be $10.00 per family.

For Membership Applications, Non-Contestant Applications go to www.arcadiarodeo.com and click on kids stuff. Please make sure you have the applications notarized and send your check or money order made out to AYRA. Release forms can be filled out at the first rodeo.

There will be an All-Around Cowboy and an All around Cowgirl Saddle in each age group at the end of the series, determined by points over the 9 month series.  In order to be eligible for the All–Around Award the contestant must enter at least 3 events at the rodeo, and must attend at least 6 rodeos.
